First Aid at Work Requalification

Who is this for?

This course provides re-certification of First Aid at Work qualified staff who have a current FAW certificate (which must not have expired more than 28 days prior to the start of this course).

How long is the course?

The First Aid at Work requalification course is run over two days in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere designed to aid delegate confidence; it includes both theory and practical sessions.

First Aid Priorities 

Managing Incidents 

Basic Life Support (inc using a defibrillator)​ 

Examination of a Casualty 

Control of Bleeding 

Burns

First Aid Kits 

Shock

Medical Emergencies 

Heart Attacks

Heat and Cold 

Fractures

Recording and Reporting

Certification

Delegates are examined on the final afternoon of the course. Upon successful completion certification is valid for three years*.  


*Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Cost

The group cost for an in-house course  for up to 12 candidates is from £750 when run at your venue.  This includes certification and a manual for each student. There are no additional costs.  


The cost for an individual on a public course is from £150.
