Who is this for?

Emergency First Aid at Work is an approved course which can be adapted to suit your needs and is ideal for lower risk businesses (in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981).

How long is the course?

This course is run over one days (6.5 hours) in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere designed to aid delegate confidence.  It includes both theory and practical sessions.

First Aid Priorities 

Managing Incidents 

Basic Life Support (inc using a defibrillator)​ 

Examination of a Casualty 

Control of Bleeding 

Burns

First Aid Kits 

Shock

Medical Emergencies 

Heat and Cold 

Fractures

Recording and Reporting

Certification

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student; there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years*


*Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Cost

The group cost for an in-house course  for up to 12 candidates is from £320 when run at your venue.  This includes certification and a manual for each student. There are no additional costs.  


The cost for an individual on a public course is from £90
